Please share policy/philosophy about granting requests BY ALUMNI for alumni lists. We get requests for lists for wedding invitations ("Send me names/addresses of classes 95-98 who were in my sorority."); calls from individuals asking for address/phone for 1 or 2 people. Also, do you have alumni "chapters" in other cities/regions? If so, do you provide those leaders an Excel file of names and addresses? Or do you maintain "control" of communication and the data?

Hi Shirley Here in the UK we are not allowed to reveal personal information without first opbtaining the individuals consent. In order to help the alumni wishing to send out wedding invitations, we would send a list of names that met the criteria they had stipulated. We would ask that the stamped invitations were sent to us with the list indicating which names they wished invites be sent. We would then address the envelopes and post them. The addressee could then contact the alumni direct if they so wished. Hope this helps. Linda Ward
