    Development Associate, Chicago

     

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Development Associate for Individual Giving works with the Development team to implement the individual giving program for the Annual Fund, providing operational support for the Annual Fund, Endowment and Capital campaigns.  Working closely with the Senior Development Associate for Major Gifts, the Development Associate for Individual Giving coordinates and implements individual annual fundraising appeals, newsletters, events and stewardship activities, and coordinates site visits and meetings with donors and prospects.  The Development Associate for Individual Giving ensures donor and prospect information is updated and accurate for use in developing cultivation and stewardship plans.  S/he generates written correspondence for individual donors and prospects, and has primary responsibility for individual donor recognition, including timely gift acknowledgements.  S/he maintains and updates donor records in Raiser’s Edge and manages the individual giving program calendar. 

     

     

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, journalism, social science or related field.

    A minimum of three years experience working in a non-profit fundraising, communications and/or event related role, with a demonstrated knowledge of individual philanthropic giving.

     Hello Mr. Nelson,
