    Transaction Code as required field.

     Hi,

Does anybody know about making Transaction Code a required field?

Can we make individual TCs required or is does making them required make all 5 TCs required?

Plus anybody know how to do that, i.e. make a field required and/or add a default value if none is selected?

    Thanks,

    Glen

Re: Transaction Code as required field.

Transaction code (t-code) requirements are defined on the fund record. You are able to specify which of the 5 t-codes are required on each fund as well as a default value.

If you have not locked beginning balances, the requirements can be updated on the fund record itself. Take a look at Knowledgebase solution BB311420 for the steps.

If you have locked your beginning balances, you will need to run the update fund transaction requirement utility in Administration. This utility will add the t-codes and default value to all historical transactions in the fund. Check out Knowledgebase solution BB52501 for more information and the steps to run the utility.

    Hope this helps!
