Hi.  We are new Blackbaud users at The Pingry School in NJ.  Would like to ask a question about balancing sections.

We have two sections of the same course running at the same time.  We have played with targets (min/target/max), we have made sure we checked the box that said "Balance Across Sections" during the GSS process.  Still, however, we end up 2 kids in one section and 14 in another - even though the sections meet at the exact same time.  I know that we can balance this by hand, but when the schedule process is not working "perfectly," it makes us wonder if there is something a) we are not doing correctly or b) that the process could be doing better across the board if it is not doing this well.  Any help/advice/thoughts would be terrific and greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

I have seen the same issue with my scheduling process the past three years, but then this year the generate master schedule put three sections of the same class in the same period, and each had just fine balance. I know this isn't any help to you, but I have also experienced this issue, but I didn't this year.
