Tracking HTML versus Text Email preference

How many of you ask if your donors want to get HTML emails versus Text Emails?  With the high number of blackberry/smart phones out there, HTML emails aren't very 'berry friendly' - and text messages are easier to read.  HTML look much nicer and can include graphics, etc.

If I start asking for a preference (when they register for an event, or subscribe on my website), I'll track it in Attributes, and then run two seperate lists, but it might be more work than really needed.

Is anyone tracking this information and what has been your response to it?

    Regards,

    Joe
