    AP EFT module

    Hi,

For users that use the EFT module to pay vendors, could you please let me know which banks you use.  Our bank doesn't do them.

    Thank you

    Re: AP EFT module

We use SunTrust, at the bank, they are called ACH - Credits. There are two types, PPD and CCD, personal and corporate respectively. Unfortunately, the EFT Module in FE only creates one export, which combines both payment types (PPD and CCD), this has created import errors with our bank because the two are distinctly different. I have called to suggest that they ipmlement a feature that would allow it to determine between PPD and CCD and generate two exports so that they can be imported to the Bank, since that is how the sell the module, by saying you can easily import to your bank. Reduces time, right? Not if you have to do two payment runs to get each kind of vendor (Personal or Corporate). Additionally, SunTrust will only import .txt files, which FE will not exoprt - I learned from tech support. So every time you export, you have to open the file and resave as a .txt. Finally, if you accidentally save over a file, for example, if you do a PPD payment run, and then forget to change the mapping for the export file and save the CCD payment run over the file before you are able to import it to your bank, there is no way to re-generate the export other than voiding and purging all of the PPD Payments you recorded and do another run. Too much to keep track of! Please call BlackBaud and support my suggestion regarding two exports, one for PPD and one for CCD.

    Thank you,

    Re: AP EFT module

    Megan,

While looking for some help on EFT I saw you are just down the road from us - we use Bank of America for EFT payments (we just submitted our first payment 04 Nov.) They have a website that is logged into with a username / password. The EFT file generated by Blackbaud is selected and uploaded. There is a acknowledgement of file receipt/rejection report to confirm payments that I am currently awaiting.

The only possible hitch in the process is there may not be an easy way to include invoice #s or vendor sub-accounts.

    Tom,

So what are you doing to show your vendors the payments they were payed for?

We are starting the AP EFT process and i would like to be able to send out something paper less, and not have to mail out and use postage, or to much extra work!!!

    Thanks
