    auction pay

We currently use Auction Tracker for our auctions however, we are now looking into AuctionPay.  Does anyone use this and could give me some feed back?

    Re: auction pay

We have used it for the last two years to run our online auction prior to our regular auction.  Once an auction closes, the information is logged into auction tracker.  When the entire auction is completed, I import the auction tracker data into Raiser's Edge.

Auction Pay as online auction tool is easy to use.  We don't use their checkout system, but our own internal system to save money.

We are starting to look at new auction software packages.  I believe that Maestro integrates with Raiser's Edge.

    Re: auction pay

    Sheri -

We use Raiser's Edge and AuctionPay.  We just added the Event Module - so for our 2009 fundraising dinner we will use AuctionPay only for the auction items - although it does handle seating and event reservations as well.

I have previously used a different third party software, and a makeshift Auction tracking system that I configured within Raiser's Edge (highly NOT recommended).  The other third party software was - fine - but the time I used it - I was not able to print receipts quickly.  Deadly problem for auction check out.

Back to Auction Pay - in terms of management of the Auction: acquiring items, creating packages, creating the Auction catalog, assigning bidder numbers, and handling check out on the night of - I think AuctionPay is a great product.  The ability to identify package numbers and assign them to the winning bidders was great.  We were able to handle check out on the night of - including printing receipts for package winners - in a very timely manner.

With that said - I would be curious to know why you are considering leaving Auction Tracker?   Every third party software has its issues.  Auction Pay is in no way perfect - but it's workable.  What is it about Auction Tracker that is causing you to consider a change?
