    Payroll 7 conversion -

    Hello,

Does anyone have any input on how to allocate the payroll taxes to each project?

We use a four digit number to identify each seperate project / funding source.

In payroll we have staff allocated under a variety of projects and at different percentages.  We currently create a journal entry at the month end to allocate all payroll taxes to the projects as needed.  I understand that payroll 7 will allow the allocation of the payroll taxes to follow the allocation that is set for each staff member in payroll but I have not located the steps to make this happen.

    Any advice?

    Thanks,

    Jeff Andrews

When you allocate a percentage of a person's salary to a project, it will automatically assign the same project to the payroll taxes.

    Hi.

Thanks for the feed back I was having trouble with the selecting the proper account numbers in the General Ledger Distribution for Taxes screen.

But have since corrected and have moved forward.
