    I have a pledge that I need to adjust from $5,000.00 to zero. My boss doesn't like for me to use the write-off because that looks like a bad debt. The donor has said they will pay $5000 but not as a pledge (community foundation dollars involved). Is there anyway that you can use gift adjustment to adjust the pledge amount to zero or no? Thanks a lot!

    Rhonda,

    Did you try to adjust it and it didn't work or are you checking with us before you do it?  To my knowledge you can adjust a pledge down to zero.

    I did try to adjust it and it didn't work so I was thinking the only way which we have done in the past was to do a write-off. Maybe I just didn't do the adjustment right?

    We adjust pledges to zero frequently. What version are you on?

    We also have no problem adjusting pledges.  Have you contacted Blackbaud support?
