Organization:  The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.  Located in the Texas Medical Center, UTHSC-H is one of 15 components of The University of Texas System.

Data Management Analyst

This position is part of the Advancement Operations team, which also includes prospect research, gift administration, and endowment compliance.  Reports to the Managing Director of Advancement Operations.

Primary Responsibilities Include: 

- Analyzing and improving the use of the database to increase effectiveness.  

- Designing and implementing methods and policies related to the Raiser's Edge database to track fundraising goals, prospect moves management, and response rates to various fundraising efforts.
- Developing and applying policies and procedures to ensure the security and confidentiality of all data.
- Producing routine and ad hoc reports utilizing Raiser's Edge and  Crystal reports.
- Processing new data or changes to existing data, research and verify information.   

Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field  

Experience and Skills:

-Minimum of three years of experience with complex databases.

-Detailed knowledge of query design, report creation, and graphic representations of data.

-Knowledge of and experience managing complex databases.    

-Experience analyzing data

-Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
-Exceptional attention to detail
-Proficiency in MS Excel, Access, Word and Outlook
-Proficiency with relational databases (Raiser's Edge preferred) particularly data imports/exports and developing reports.
-Proficiency with Crystal Reports
-Experience running and reading quantitative reports
