    Clean-Up and Maintenance

Does anyone have a schedule of maintenance they do on their database on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis to keep the records clean?

    Thanks!

    Debbie

Hey, Debbie - I don't know what organizations do beyond scheduled maintenance in the BMC to keep their data "clean", but I was able to find knowledgebase solution BB389978, which includes Blackbaud's recommended maintenance routine.

    Hope this helps!

    Re: Clean-Up and Maintenance

    Hi Debbie,

We run a number of queries to clean our data.  For example, every week we run a spot check query that looks at all new constituents added that week so that we can check they have been entered correctly.  We also run queries to identify missing values, for example, constituency code equals blank, assigned canvasser equals blank or address lines equals blank.

Quarterly, my assitant checks all the board and trustee level contacts of our donor organisations and prioriry 1 level prospects to make sure these are correct.

Monthly, we run a query for potential duplicates.

I hope that is a good start!

    Thanks

    Charlotte
