    Raiser's Edge and AuctionMaestro Pro

We are an independent school that hold an annual auction. We currently use AuctionMaestro Pro (not integrated with RE), and find that it creates addtional work, since the event information (and the gift information) has go into RE Events as well as AMP. I'm not seeing the added value.

We are considering two approaches to the problem:

    1. Integrate RE and AMP (costs $$$).

    2. Drop AMP and do the whole thing in RE Events.

I am wondering if there are any users of RE and AMP who can weigh in. What, if any, value is added by using AMP? Is it enough added value to consider doing the integration instead of just dropping AMP?

    Thank you.

    Hello Brandon,

We have had the same experience with our events, double entry in AMP and RE, not to mention additional work utilizing AMP. Did you receive any responses with recommendations?

     Thanks,

We also are an independent school with a yearly auction and we are considering getting the integration piece but it will not happen until AFTER we need to import our data from MaestroSoft into RE.  ANy suggestions out there? AND does anyone knowif the Events Module is required for the running of the Integration tool?????

    Hi All,

You do NOT need the Events module to run the integration piece between the two programs. It's great if you have the module because that saves time setting up the event and for participation information but it is not a requirement.

The integration allows you to bring over your RE constituents without having to enter records twice and on the flip side download your AM Pro gifts into a batch into Raiser's Edge.

We have the integration piece for RE and AMP. We have the RE Events Module and Net Events. It all worked well, EXCEPT--we did our online reservations through NetEvents, which then had to be manually entered into AMP so that the people showed up as coming to the event. Their registration, credit card info, etc was all in RE Events, and then when we brought our data over (after the auction) to RE, they had double registrations (gifts) show up. Not actual charges to their credit cards, just double gift entries.

I spoke to the folks at MaestroSoft and apparently there is a way around this...which I will worry about next year.

If you set up your integration correctly at the beginning, it is a breeze--all the way from moving your queried invitees over as your database, to isolating the amount of money the event raised and doing RE reports afterwards.

We may move up to AMP Web and do the reservations through that, which may avoid the issue. And one issue at the end of an event isn't really that bad, after all.

We used the web tool and tried to push the data back into RE. After about 3hrs of extra work and more $$$$ we got it to work. Its not great but it eventually got the job done.Has anyone found a way to use both online registration and event management together? Then have those details sent to RE?

Maestroweb works fantastically, especially for registration. Once the data is in RE, uploading should work as the auction night bidding does. And there is my question: when uploading to RE, does the whole bid go, or just the amount over the fmv? or is is the total spent in bids, or total(registration, bids, purchases, from accounting? Or, is is what you choose? Thanks
