THE NORWICH FREE ACADEMY & THE NFA FOUNDATION, INC.Norwich, CTPOSITION: Development Associate DATE OF POSTING: April 1, 2008 CLOSING DATE: April 18, 2008Summary of Job: The main responsibilities of the Development Associate are to manage gift processing/acknowledgments, maintain the scholarship database, maintain development database and provide support for the Alumni Relations Department.Specific Duties:1. Performs gift processing/acknowledging for all gift income including annual fund, scholarships, awards, endowment, and capital gifts.2. Maintains alumni and gift computer records3. Maintain monthly financial reports for program expenses.4. Prepare end-of-year gift reports for audit5. Process purchase requisitions and maintain supply inventories6. Maintains grant expenditure spreadsheets.7. Maintains scholarship database8. Handles all alumni memorabilia sales/inventory9. Provides support to the Alumni Relations Dept.10. Receptionist for Levanto Alumni HouseGeneral Duties:1. Work with Finance Department regarding all gift income/monthly program expenses.2. Work with Slater Memorial Museum regarding gift income and grant accounting.3. Provides general office support when neededQualifications:College degree. Work or internship experience within a development, alumni relations or non-profit office. Computer and organizational skills a must. Knowledge of Raiser's Edge 7 a plus.
