    Solicitor Assignments Project Nightmare!!!

We have multiple volunteer and staff solicitors with open ended dates on many donors/prospects in our database and need to streamline this area. We do not monitor individual actions with our volunteer solicitors, so we do not know if a donor is being approached 5 or more times in a given day over 5 different projects. We realize this is a major issue, but want to dive into some best practices on how to maintain this tab with relevant and purposeful data. Any recommendations out there ?

    Thanks

    Nina

I had a similar problem at the red cross. Number one, you need to either monitor your volunteer actions or eliminate them from the process-- your data in RE is only as good as the data you collect! one organization i interviewed with had an online solution for volunteers (usually board members) to go online and choose from a list of names to call/solicit. I'm not sure what software they were using internally to do that but i thought it was a novel idea. well, good luck with your project!
