    Staff Courtesies for Fundraising Events

Sorry for the cross posting, but I am trying to reach anybody that runs fundraising events like dinners, balls, etc. What courtesies if any are extended to staff? Do they get free or discounted tickets? Are staff who are required to work or attend the event required to pay the admission price? We are trying to gather some benchmarking info so please respond with size and type of organization as well as how you handle. Thanks much, Tina [Email Removed] Tina Wilfer Development Assistant Fox Cities Performing Arts Center Appleton, WI [Email Removed]

    Staff Courtesies for Fundraising Events

Hi.... we are a small foundation that does all of its fundraising by holding events and uses volunteers to assist, usually with check-in, handing out gift bags, etc... Our volunteers do get fed and attendance to the event. We build it in to the cost of the event, and then come up with a price (usually the amount that covers the ticket, food etc...) and some of our volunteers donate the cost price. But, it behooves us to give them something for working as we use their assistance time and time again. Treat your volunteers well, especially the ones that you use over and over again. Hope this helps.
