FAWeb and Moodle on the same server

Hi, We are planning to install Moodle, and we were wondering if anyone has FAWeb and Moodle running on the same server. If so, did you encounter any problem with the installation or operation of either of the programs? Larry

Larry, We installed it on a different server, but from our observations, there should not be any conflicts. You need to decide where you want your MySQL installation to be. I'd be more concerned about MySQL and FaWEB on the same server, just need to check it out. I'd be VERY interested in how you plan to integrate Moodle in with EducationEdge (rosters, id's, parents, grades, etc). That was our stopping point. :-( -- Gray Huggins Director of Technology Bishop Lynch High School

We installed Moodle and FAWEB on different servers. Have you considered virtualization? As far as our integration has gone, student accounts are created automatically when they login for the first time, by lookup in Active Directory. We also have them automatically enrolled in courses, by dumping the class enrollments into an Access database that Moodle connects to by ODBC. Haven't done anything with parent access or grades; I may investigate that this summer. Joel Palachuvattil Director of Data Operations Canisius High School
