In sending invitations to constituents for gatherings around the country, I am looking for a way to determine who falls within a 50 mile radius of the cities where the events are being held. I purchased software call ZipFind Deluxe which tells me all the zips within any radius of another zip, but short of entering hundreds of zip codes into a query, I cannot get the software to interact with Raiser's Edge. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you, Kay

As far as I know, only MapPoint will interact with Raiser's Edge without writing a custom interface. You can get a copy of the CD from Blackbaud. Drew J. I do this all the time for Alumni events. Unfortunately it is a long tedious process. I query on zip code. I use zip code begins with XXX (first three digits);OR zip code begins with XXY and so on. You can string as many zip codes as you need. I put () arount the list of zip codes. I use the first three as this works with both 5 digit and 9 digit codes. At Houghton College we use a BB product that does precisely this kind of operation. It is a plug-in. We use it for alumni gatherings and events in general and have been very happy with it.
