Web site access during an upgrade

We are going to upgrade Netcommunity to 5.1 tomorrow. We are wondering what people do to prevent users from accessing the web site during the upgrade?

Web site access during an upgrade

when we do a BBNC upgrade we typically post something a few days to a week before and let them know it's coming. then we will point IIS over to a different default.aspx page for the site with a message that BBNC is down. during the upgrade process IIS is probably going to reset or you may need to reboot but that time will be less than the time for the install once the upgrade is complete just make sure IIS is swtiched back to the original default page.
