    Check Scanning

Is anyone using iStrea or Aqubanc with or without RE 2500M? I would like to know if you like the products, or you importing batches into RE. Basically is it working and worth the money. You can email off forum if you like. [Email Removed]. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Elaine,

I am also looking at software options for scanning not only checks but other correspondance associated with a constituent. The products I have looked at ar PaperSave (which Blackbaud has partnered with) and ImageNow.

I would also be interested any information that anyone has.

Jerrie, The iStream and Aqubanc also make the deposit by remote access. After scanning the microencoding it sends the deposit to the bank and there is no need for anyone to drive checks to the bank. The software providers recommend shredding the original checks after a few weeks. iStream lets you export the information from the check in .xls or .csv both of which I should be able to upload into a gift batch and just make adjustments for letters, campaigns, funds, appeals etc. Aqubanc also scans the reply device. RE2500M of course being a Blackbaud product will integrate into RE with no need to import. I am exploring if this option is more cost effective than a lockbox provider. Also running the credit cards in house as opposed to a lockbox provider should be much cheaper. If anyone is using these products or something similar and would love to hear from you.

Direct Deposit is another area that we are checking. That is a seperate area. From what I understand, ImageNow has this option also. The rep I have been speaking with is Kari Bellew, her number is (913)667-3474.

I am investigating products in which the daily production can be scanned in and attached to the constituent gift. As well as scanning in other correspondence and media information.
