    1) Your Crystal Report .rpt file could anywhere. When you create the RE Custom report that uses the CR, you will browse out to the location of the report. Tips - It does help to have the report in a shared folder so that anyone who needs to run the report can access it. Likewise for the location of the export that the CR reads. I have all the users define a common drive letter and put all my .rpt files there. e.g. I:\RE Report Definitions. 2) Make sure under that File / Report Options "Convert NULL Field Value to Default" is checked. Otherwise, if a formula uses a 'missing' value, the formula may not perform your calculations properly. This can be tricky to spot, because those NULL values look an awful lot like Blank values but the two are not the same thing! This is especially likely to come up if you are exporting attributes and some records don't have the attribute in question. - Tom Luongo [Email Removed])

    Thanks - 1. I was worried the report had to be in some RE file. This is good. 2. I changed to null value option - still no go. Without seeing the whole report, can you tell if this formula looks right: IIF (Trim ({EvPrt_1.EvPrt_1_Participation}) = "Teacher","{EvPrt_1.EvPrt_1_Name}","") Someday I'll read the documentation!
