Installed Version 7.6 build 740 - where did "Validate Database" go? [:S]

I had to call BB on this last week. They moved it to the management console it is one of the maintenance features but they call it something else. My IT Department does it now and has it on a schedule. Guess we were supposed to figure this out on our own. Melissa S. If they've moved it to the server (management) console and your IT department does the validation, what procedure do you have set up in case it finds an error? Also, do they do it after your nightly backup or before? I'm asking because my server is not in the same office as I am and I've been doing my own validations. It's somehow reassuring to read the 'all clear' message when it's done. Alice Florkey Database Specialist Samaritan Health Foundation [Email Removed]

I don't know how dynamic your database is, but we run the maintenance (rebuild indexes, update statistics, etc.) every other week on a Sunday night when no one is here. Right now, our procedure if we find an error is: call Blackbaud immediately! [:P] But so far, we've never had an error. If your database goes through a lot of changes in a short period of time, then you may want to do these maintenance items more often than that.
