    Batch didn't post to pledge

I have a reocurring batch that I post every month that contains pledge payments. I just realized that when I posted this batch in July, I did not apply the payments to the pledges. So, instead of decreasing the amount remaining on the pledge, it appears as a cash gift. Is there an easy way to fix this? We are connected to Financial Edge so I'm hesitant to do something that will cause problems at that end. Right now my game plan is to go in and adjust the pledges down one payment. Suggestions?

You can create a gift query for just those gifts and then run them fhru the unpost plug in, then apply to the pledge and then change the not posted to posted. I sometimes have to do this.

If you do you need to let your finance dept know so they can make a journal entry to change that batch from contribution income to a pledge payment. Since you are connected to Financial Edge your finance person will have the outstanding pledge amount that needs to be reduced. When we have a large batch like that and there is a mistake I will often just unpost and repost but I always get with the acctg person first so we know we're on the same page and our financial info will match. If it's s small batch I'll just adjust each gift to 0.00 then repost correctly effective the correction date so it doesn't throw a prior period's financial statement off.
