This year we would like to track all financial aid information in EE. I can track when we send out FA on the FA module. I would also like to track/date when we recevieve the following information: the PFS form from SSS and from the parents, the parents Federal Income Tax forms for both the current and past years, and their W2s, if they send them. Now we just keep the date of when we sent the PFS and when we received it from the parents...but there is no place to note if the 1040s were included. How do you handle the all letters pertaining the financialm aid? Where to do keep track of any letters sent pertaining to FA? I have worked in the past with schools that have tracked this kind of information by creating a checklist track specifically for financial aid applications. The track included each of the forms as separate checklist items so you could easily report on which students are missing which items and use mail to send reminders to parents, if specific forms are missing.

We have attributes set up on the attribute section of the financial aid tab. We enter the type of attribute (i.e. PFS, SSS, 1040, etc), for the description "yes or no" for returned and date the item was returned and can query, etc on them for mailings, etc. Hope this helps you keep all FA in one place in EE.
