    Better batch validation

I am looking for some fresh new ideas. As you have all probably experienced, the stock batch validation report is not exactly easy to read and, well, validate. I have done in the past custom validation reports that are quite optimized to the organization's validation process. These have usally been in Access or Crystal through ODBC with a Crystal param prompt. I am looking for something better. Best would be to replace the stock .rpt file (but I can't seem to find id and it would be complicated to deploy). An other solution would be a Crystal through odbc launched through VBA. I have been unable in the past to succesfully launch a Crystal report in VBA. Does anyone have code for this (probably standard stuff and i will feel stupid for asking). Any other ideas are welcome. I have used the Crystal COM component to call a crystal report from VBA. You are able to pass parameters and point to different databases. It is not too difficult but as it is now quite an old technology there is not that much documentation out there for it. I shall try to post some code (or put it on my blog!)
