Response time for acknowledgement

    Response time for acknowledgement

    How are you able to have a 24 hour turn around on your memorial tributes? What are we doing wrong..it takes us longer to process a gift. Do you use Microsoft word for your letters? Do you use a conditional merge with different letters? Do you have one person doing only tributes? One person does the gift batch entry and another does the memorial/gift letters, which is a double check of accuracy. Would like some feedback...Thanks PS What does your tribute card look like?     We use the word merge within Raiser's Edge. It has conditions on it like dollar amount and tribute type. Once my gift processor has batched her gifts, she goes into mail and runs the honor/memorial acknowledgements. She checks her cards against the batch list, but if she didn't get something right, the card doesn't print out or the copy doesn't reflect the gift. We use that for accuracy and in 2 years of doing cards this way, we've only had a handful of cards go out incorrect. If you like I can send you samples of my cards.
