    Will Call Tickets

Did you know that when you create a Will Call ticket utilizing PE and FE, the sale is immediately recorded in regular sales and cannot be sent to a "deferred revenue" account. This can be quite an accounting nightmare if you have a material amount of Will Call type tickets.

Yeah, we've discovered that here, too. It drives our CFO nuts. I'm of the opinion that it would be very useful for Blackbaud / TopTix to have an in-depth conversation with the folks who have to manage a non-profit's financial systems, so that the companies could get a better understanding of the ways in which certain PE defaults, restrictions and reports can really impede, if not outright hobble, an organization's business processes. At first, I thought that it was our own internal business processes that were screwed up (well, they are, but that's not the point I'm trying to make here ;-) ), but I'm increasingly of the mind that the way that PE forces you to do some things is just quite simply the *wrong* way. Case in point - payments should be associated with an order or transaction number, and not just to the client record. I can only hope that this feedback is being heard, and will be acted upon, and soon. Craig
