    Alternative to Researcher's Edge (TRE)

Does anyone know of any alternatives to Researcher's Edge? We've been having some issues and all we hear back from BB is that the "programmers are looking into it...". yeah yeah ... I'm sure they are. I'm just curious if there's anything else out there that can do some prospect-point-like and wealth-point-like analysis? Thanks! Dan, What are the programmers looking into? We've just started with Researcher's Edge. Thanks Michael Sherman Database Administrator Florida West Coast Symphony

If you pull-up a prospect, go to the Match Details tab, then select the Real Estate datasource in the left pane, that datagrid in the right pane is the control that is causing all our pains (hehe). Often times our Prospect Researcher needs to delete duplicate/inaccurate real estate data from a prospect. When she does this, a majority of the time we get an unhandled exception originating from that datagrid. It doesn't happen ALL the time - but when it does it's very annoying. Although you can simply click "Continue" when the exception is thrown, it's bad programming and really needs to be addressed. To reproduce it, find a prospect with a lot of real estate records (5 or more because it doesn't work all the time) and then select a real estate record, click the delete button, then left click in the first column of the top row. Soon you should get the following error: "Index outside the bounds of the array". Today everything came to a head because she was trying to save a real estate record to a prospect only to get another unhandled exception having to do with a unique constraint on the database. After looking into it I saw that it was related to this first problem - so it's not new issue, but does illustrate how if left unfixed this bug can really interfere with the program as a whole. I'd be interested if anyone else can reproduce this error. It took over 3 months before I was able to convince BB that it wasn't our data (their favorite scap-goat) and they were able to reproduce it as well. Since then, all we've heard is that "the programmers are looking into the issue". Well, maybe they are. Maybe Elvis is alive too. Dan Larson Programmer/Analyst St. Cloud Hospital St. Cloud, Minnesota

I am having the exact same issue. When I called support, they were actually able to reproduce it. She said she would look into and get back to me. Two weeks later I called her and she informed me that she handed it to the programers and they're working on it. This process started over a month ago and I'm still having problems. And it's not just Real Estate. I also get that same error message with Philanthropic Gifts and once when I was entering new D&B info. Have you received any resolution?
