We used to require purchase orders for everything then stopped requiring them for anything. We would like to go back to using them judiciously. Does anyone have a policy for which purchases require a PO? We require PO's for any purchase over $500. We did have a $200 limit till this year and raising it to $500 has really cut down on the amount of PO's that we process.

We are implementing P.O. and E-req on 7/01/07. What type and size company do you work for? We are a consortium of 5 schools and an administrative office with 250 employees. We will have a large quantity of people using these modules. We are in the process of determinig what our limit should be for requiring a P.O.
