Hi Spencer,
I realize your post is old but wanted to know if you have gotten everything worked out wth ICverify and RE. We use IATS and recently received a quote for better credit card rates if we change merchant processors. If we were to do that we would need to run it with ICverify. IATS has worked with absolutely no problems for more than 4 years and I have heard that ICverify has problems. I don't want to switch if ICverify is inferior. Any advice is helpful. Thanks, Bill
Hi Bill,
We still use IC-Verify for all offline transactions. We are on version 4.0.3 and RE 7.91.40. We also use IATS but only for online transactions. Likewise, there has never been an issue. When there is a new version of IC-Verify and/or Raiser's Edge, there tends to be a series of challenges, which do resolve themselves, eventually. One continual problem is the answer file won't overwrite itself and therefore the transaction won't run. This is a simple fix. Another issue is settling problems when there is a new version of either RE or IC-Verify. If I were to make a recommendation, I would suggest staying with IATS. The software is so much easier to manage and troubleshooting an error means one call to customer support.
Just my two cents.

I wouldn't be too quick to change over to a process that needs IC Verify. IC Verify is not compatible with BB Payment Services. We're going through finding a new credit card processor ourselves as a result.
Hi Spring,
I was told by BB support that upon installation of ICVerify we'd need to go thru the 'token' generation process that occurs when upgrading to 7.91 - I guess by remote session with BB tech support - but after that is completed ICVerify will work fine with BBPS. Can you clarify your experience for me because I'm looking at ICVerify with several clients who all use IATS and are tired of the very high fee's being paid.
Thanks,
Matt Haynes
