    Progress Report sending to Netclassroom

Are we the only school that would like the ability to send the FAWEB Progress Reports to Netclassroom? In the old AORO version of BB we used GradeQuick and Edline to accomplish this task, but BB decided to "knock-out" the ability for other programs to work 'easily' with their product requiring us to use their 'useless' Netclassroom and FAWEB. Our school wishes we had NEVER converted to EE but once you have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on software, training, time to convert - who can afford to leave? Maybe if every user complains about the lack of adequate report capabilities BB will do something. John Longo, MCSE Director of Information Systems

Sorry to hear of the problems. but thanx for the warning, we are not sure what to do, I have talked to some local schools, and they do not like what they are seeing either. One school even threw out the whole ball of wax, and went with whole new database this year.

Hi, We are about to convert to EE and we currently use Gradequick and Edline for our progress reports. I have looked at netclassroom, and isn't it correct to say, that if teachers choose a particular date when they enter their grades into FAWeb "show grade" date, that the grades will appear in netclassroom on that date? These would be the grades of the various assignments entered into FAWeb. If you ask teachers to set their "Posting Status" to Ready, on the progress report deadline, then that grade will be posted to netclassroom. Is this not so? I'm very interested to hear about this now before we go through with the process of the conversion.

Guys, We went through all of this a couple of years ago. My question to our teachers and parents was, why do you need a progress report if all of the students grades are already available on NetClassroom. No one ever game me an answer and is has not been an issue since. Norm Dunkin Director of Information Services Landmark Christian School [Email Removed]

We have a policy that states if a progress report is NOT sent, then you can not fail the student. Not all parents have computer access at home or work, they work long hours just to give their kids a better life than the one they grew up with. So if you are a "poorer" school like we are you have to have the ability to mail them as well.

Our policy is that if a student is at a C or below, phone contact to parents must be made by the teacher. We went paperless on Jan 1st of last year to save paper and time for our teachers. We also have some parents who do not have access to computers. In this case, we provide computers in our library, the public library, neighbors, etc. Norm Dunkin Director of Information Services Landmark Christian School [Email Removed]
