    RE Net Mail

Does anyone use RE Net Mail out there for their email newsletters? I am wondering how people are finding the formatting of the email. I insert photos and then when the email is sent out, the photos aren't necessarily in the same spot. Does anyone have any comments on RE Net Mail.

    RE Net Mail

    Hello
We are using NetMail and finding it very useful for tracking bounces and click-throughs etc. but it is limited in how you can design your email. We send a bi-monthly newsletter which has a jpeg header which is at the top of the nesletter. We did have to experiment at first to work out the optimum size of the jpeg banner so it would display correctly on different size screens. Rosalind Perry

HI , we too use Net Mail, currently in use for 2 groups, our biggest E-news group is yet to migrate from other system (DoList). RE provides us with MUCH more info on newsletter impact and success. Plus the added RE consituent info. DOlist gives us very little other than a mail out tool, and the need for a in house designers ( which we have), who like to build HTML (mini web) page type newsletters, because they can. Yes they do look good, yet I wonder do they have any greater impact though. Formatting, we too had to mess around a bit. The format options are somewhat limited and rely on good text and images to attract the reader. The net mail product could be improved to allow greater flexibility, I guess the issue is a balance of providing a product that is functional and easy to use Versus a full Email design tool which could need a web developer to understand. I can email some examples ( good or bad ) if you email me Take care & Have Fun.... Sean Ryan Business Systems Specialist

Would you be willing to share the optimum size of the banner. I suspected that this is what we would have to do in order for the graphics to stick to one area and look consistent in every email. Thanks for the comments. Liz Rejman Huron University College London, Ontario CANADA

Does anyone have a step by step instructions list on creating a new email from Net Mail? If so would you be willing to share this on the client documents section? I'm creating one of my own and would love to see what others have done. Thanks! ~Marnie [Email Removed] Marnie Merriam The Point Foundation [Email Removed]
