    DONATED VEHICLES

How do you handle donated vehicles? What paperwork and/or tax schedules do you provide the donor? How do you determine the FMV and where do you book the revenue? How do you handle the costs associated with the donated vehicle like repairs, title transfers, etc.? Thanks for sharing and helping!

These are all questions you need to get fromwww.irs.gov. There is a whole publication on it and I'm afriad to answer because it is so specific and has changed in recent years. We not longer accept donated vehicles because it is too hard. *** I can spell, I just can't type. Where is spell check? Melissa S. I agree with Melissa. We work with a single non-profit car donation agency exclusively. That way, they handle all the paperwork and tax issues and we just process a donation. (Minus, of course, their handling fees.) Richard White Database Manager Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties [Email Removed]
