    Solicitor reports

    Hello All,

Does anyone know how to run a solicitor report? A director would like to see name, address, phone, last gift, last gift designation, solictior and notes and notes from last action. I have been exporting into excel, which makes it very cumbersome and time consuming. He would like these reports on a regular basis. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,
    Ellen

If you go to Reports, Analytical Reports, there are a number of Solicitor reports you can run. I use these regularly. Hope this helps! Lucile Barbati Lucile Barbati Donor Services Coordinator West Valley Fine Arts 525 N. Central Ave. Avondale, AZ 85323

It depends on what you mean by not active and what report. Do you mean has the inactive checkbox checked inside the details on the solicitor information or do you mean has an end date on a solicitor relationship with a donor? What report are you using? *** I can spell, I just can't type. Where is spell check? Melissa S. Under the "Format" tab under "Details", you can uncheck the "Include solicitors with no activity" and see if that helps. Kamong Riddick Data Coordinator Easter Seals Arkansas [Email Removed]

Somtimes it is not that easy and it depends on the report. For example on the Solicitor Performance Analysis if you have a solicitor who was unassigned to some people mid year and you now only want to give her a report of the people she is now assigned to and their FY giving. If you choose on the first tab to show all gifts this fiscal year solicitor tab to include 1 solicitor you will get every person she was ever assiged to in that same gift range eve if she is no longer assigned. The filter is not sophisticated to use another date range for the solicitor assignment than the gift date range. So we have to use a constituent query in the "include"on the first tab that captures every person assigned to a particular solicitor (by an ask paramaeter) with an end date BLANK. This then only gives current assignments and what they gave this FY. *** I can spell, I just can't type. Where is spell check? Melissa S. I normally use a solicitor query with my solicitor reports or I choose from the solicitor list. If I am requested to have the same solicitors constantly, I will have marked my solicitors from the list and saved this report. If a solicitor didn't have any gifts within the particular time frame stated, then because of the unchecked box, their name and gifts would not show up on the report. My solicitor query is just a constituent query that states if their "Is a Solicitor" box is checked. If they are an old solicitor, they won't show up on the report because no gifts within that particular time frame. Kamong Riddick Data Coordinator Easter Seals Arkansas [Email Removed]

    Re: Solicitor reports

Hi Carol,  when you run the report are you asking for specific solicitors as part of your criteria?  Do you have database records for all your solicitors and are the ones you wish to eliminiate from your reports marked as inactive solicitors?
