I would find out the figures for each month for the last 5 years and then try some trending - try the Gigt Detail and Summary report under financial reports and change the date range to one month of one year at a time. If you are good with Access or Crystal reports - you could output 5 years' worth of data at one go and then group by month/year to get the monthly figures for 5 years and then put them in an excel spreadsheet and do some trending analysis.
