Last month, we received a stock gift that was restricted to a specific fund. We have Financial Edge and obviously, the stock has been sold and the gifts posted. Now the donor would like to change the gift restriction to another fund. RE will not let me make an adjustment to the fund for this gift. Any ideas?? Thank you, Helen MaCauley

We adjust the orig. entries to $.00 then reenter the transaction with the corrected information then post All Gifts, include filter options to FE. Suggestion: Run a pre-post report before posting to make sure the adjustment and correct are going to transmit. Contact finance before posting to explain the situation. Zoe LaRocca CMH Foundation

I ran into the same problem last year. I think it is a major oversight to not be able adjust the fund on sold stock. That tab does not even exist, when you are in the adjustment screen. You can adjust funds, campaigns,appeals, and packages under the split-gift tab in Gift/Adjustment even if the gift isn't split, too. That little trick has saved me a world of headaches in a campaign we're doing where most of the gifts are originally coming in "undirected" fund-wise.

I double checked this and it will not let me do a split gift either. Any other ideas? Thanks so much for your thoughts! Thank you, Helen MaCauley
