    Grants Management

I attended RE Essentials I and II. I need SOME direction to set up grants management, i.e, track orgs by prospect vs. current; solicitor; proposal status; report ticklers; program staff notify dates; etc.

Should I start with the Org record with prospect info OR start with Action Tasks.

There are many many-to-many relationships with orgs, and history info.

    Any starting points to suggest?

If you have the prospect tab (I think the module is called RE:Search), you can build a proposal. In that proposal, you can record actions, just like you would in the constituent record, but they are linked to a proposal...

Hope this might give you guidance. I am not sure what information you are looking to store in RE. William da Silva

    Grants Management

I do have the Prospect Tab (Search). Since my message, I discovered the Prospect Tab for proposal tasks. Thanks for your confirmation that I am on the right track. I thnk that I have found all of my needed fields for proposals (sched, pending, budgeted, and for fndtns (new/prospect, current, etc.)

I am still struggling to understand the relationship of Campaign, Fund, and Appeal for Grants Management; and how the Fund category should related to our project cost centers! Any ideas?
