    Automatically update county

Does anyone know if it is possible to automatically populate the county on a constituent record once the ZIP code is entered? Will CountyFinder do this, or is that just a one time service? Thanks

We use Blackbaud's Address Accelerator, part of Raiser's Edge Data Health Center. You do have to pay extra for this service. It gives us the ability to validate addresses in our database. This validation does add County information.

BB wrote us a Macro that does this - for fee, of course. When you enter a zip code it populates the City, State, County & Region fields. The only complaint I have is keeping the Access table of zip codes current is sometimes an issue. It does not work when entering constituents by Batch, only manual additions. But I'm sure they'd rewrite it to work in Batch as well, for an additional fee!? County Finder is a one time service and address accellerator will do the same thing only more.

If you really only want county and do not want your addresses formateed as address accelerator does then you are either looking at county finder on a regular basis or paying BB to write a macro. *** my spelling is fine, it's my typing that stinks. Where is spell check?
