I've notified the check writer, but have not received a replacement check for the face amount of the check or to reimburse us for the fee that the bank charged us. The check was for $50, the bank charges us $36. Wow. I've never done that. But I have notified the donor and mentioned the charge we incurred and frequently they offer to give a larger donation to cover the expense. We just adjust the original gift to zero and enter the new check as a new gift when (if) it is received. *** my spelling is fine, it's my typing that stinks. Where is spell check? Melissa S.
