    Student grades dropped when transferred

When I transfer students from one section to another within the same course, I sometimes lose grades and comments. Grades and comments were added through import from Faculty Access. This occurs most notably when I am trying to rearrange whole classes - the 6th grade is rearranged each trimester and that's when the drops occur. When I transfer I always get the dialog box that says All grades and comments will be transferred. OK. If grades and comments are transferred the next dialogue box says The grades and comments have been transferred. If the transfer of the student occurs [b]without the transfer of grades and comments, the second dialogue box does not appear but then it is too late Has anyone else run into this? Does anyone else know how to solve this. BB suggested upgrading - they can't seem to resolve this issue

I had the EXACT same problem when the new semester started this year. I could not find the problem and had to reenter the missing grades. What a pain!

Same thing happend to me, and when I did a knowledge based search I found BB188078, and in that is to request a patch to correct this issue. Needless to say. I had to manually input everything that was lost. Sorry I could not be of more help, but maybe you are in need of this patch, but it sounds like you have spoke with BBD, so I hope they know if you have it or not. You may want to at least ask.

We tried the patch - updating the exe. file, but that didn't work. We think it can be traced down to the fileserver system. The dropped grades occured using FAT32, but grade are not dropped on NTFS. Check out case # 6126902
