I had some time to poke around in my test database today (which has 7.8 installed, production is still 7.71 until some more of the issues with 7.8 are resolved), and was looking at the data health center. Has anyone had the chance/time to submit their database to BB? Was it worth the time and effort, and was it pretty much you submit they see problems, and offer to let you pay for them to fix, or do they actual explain and go through the issues? Thanks! I don't think anythign is new in the Data Health Center. I think BB just centralized all of the extra Data Enrichment services they had before in a way that makes them easier to access than previously offered. I think that NCOA is now People Finder and is within Data Health Center now, etc. I believe that all of the services within it were available before but a) they may have changed the name (address validation to AddressAccelerator, etc.) or b) many of us probably never heard of some of them before because sometimes until you need it you don't know to ask if it is available. Before you probably had to search the website before - now you can see them right from your own RE. Pretty smart of BB, I think. Melissa S. At the top of the DHC (as they call it) is a link to create an export file to send to BB and they will analyze it (doesn't say for what, just that they will). When you look at the help or user manual, it says that this is a free "checkup" service that you can run once a year. I was curious what kind of results you get back. If its just a bunch of we will do x y and z for a fee, I don't want to do it, if they are going to tell me what they think is wrong and give me some breakdowns, then I might consider it. I know that the addressfinder, phonefinder, and addressaccelerator were there, I have the address accelerator, and I agree it was smart to put them all in once place and save us headaches of figuring out where to send it or put it or whatever based on the service...

They will do the free checkup service but it does not get you back any useable data. It just lets you know if you should pay for the service. i.e. it reports 3,000 vs. 3 deceased people in your deceased finder then you know you will or will not get back enough results to make the cost worthwhile. Just got off the phone with support. They are sending a utility that needs to be run to get the Data Health Center tab to show up. We show both. It seems to me that data health is where you submit YOUR data TO bb and Web Services is where you download updates or new servies FROM BB. I have not used these yet (still playing catch up on higer priorities in clean up) so I'm not sure - it's just a guess.
