I do not have solution ID yet but you can create cases to be sure you have asked for this.

I WANT: The ability to print an envelope for a single relationship from the record. To print an envelope for an acknowledgee of a tribute you have to jump through hoops in RE:Mail with relationship queries, etc. Can't they just put a button on the relationshop record like you have on the constituent record to print an envelope for them?

We are a statewide oranization and when we have memorial acknowledgees that live out of state we do not create constituent records for them we just make them acknowledgee as a relationship to the deceased.

We have been manually creating envelopes because we don't get that many and it so far has been much easier than RE:Mail. But we possibly are about to be inundated with Mother's Day tributes as we did a Mother's Day appeal for the first time and I hate that we can't just print an envelope for a single relationship! You can only do this from the constituent as far as I know and then it doesn't know which relationship you want. I'd be happy to concede if you can tell me how you can make this work. Melissa S. I went to my record, created a non constituent relationship, TRIED to click on the File-Print from the menu bar and ITS NOT THERE. Melissa, thanks for posting this as I did not realize this was not available. Interesting to see if someone has found a work-around. I'm confused... Why can't you create a relationship query then export it (using query or export, whichever is your preference), and use word to print your envelopes?? Doug Doug Creek University of Alaska Database Administrator [Email Removed]

I am able to print an envelope for a non-constituent relationship record. It's not a perfect method, but here is what I do. From the constituent's record, choose File, Print, Envelopes. Set up an envelope parameter and choose Create for Relationships. Preview your envelopes. Make note of which page the envelope you need is on and print just that page/envelope. I hope I understood the question. In any event, hopefully this helps someone. Nora Isaac Manager, Information Technology The ALS Association, Greater Phila. Chapter [Email Removed]

This work great. I found that if I have only one relationship then I can just go to File, Print, Envelopes and then double click on my "Env for a Relationship" (which I had to set up) and it will print an envelope for that relationship. But if there is more than one relationship, I have to "Open" it, preview it and then print the one that I want. Thanks for this info Nora! It is definitely the multiple relationship problem that we have. And Doug, I could export and merge in word but for 2 envelopes a week it is much faster and easier to just type them up in Word. I'm sure I have all the workarounds now BUT if any of you want a simple click button from the relationship record to print an envelope for that person PLEASE tell BB. I can see that I am not the only one who wants it but if i'm the only one who requests it it will never happen. Create a case please. Melissa S. Has anyone seen or been posted a suggestion to make solicit codes more like constituent codes (ie: to and from dates, maybe additional comments, such as WHY?!? :) ) I tried to search for one, but couldn't find it :( Thanks! Regarding multiple contact types - we created a Relationship Attribute called "Additional Contact Type" and pointed it to the Contact Types table.

Our business rule states that the contact type on the main relationship screen is the "main" contact type for that person, or the thing for which they are primarily involed. Others would go in attributes. Peter Gulka
