    Using RE:Member Over 50,000

Looking for feedback as to how organizations are using/managing membership using RE:Member for 50,000 plus members. How well does it work, how many staff handle data entry, how many members do you have (and active vs inactive) what part do you do in-house vs what you outsource, etc. Thanks. BBL

Bevery, I can't answer all your questions but i thought you may appreciate a little feedback. At my previous place of employment we had 40,000 members. We had 3.5 data entry people. we broke out the process into two parts. Step one was updating/creating records, step two was "Batching" the gifts. I along with other duties was the Main Batcher, therefore Idid not update or create records. My counterpart updated/created records and batched. The Development Assistant updated/created only along with the part time membershp Assistant. It worked well creating a two part process. Also allowed for more checks and balances. Part two in the next post! Maryann

Beverly, We outsourced membership cards and renewal notices under $250.00. Gifts $250 and above received renewal notices created in-house. They weren't a large group so it was quite manageable. Hope some of this information helps!
