I am unable to connect to our database via Crystal reports. The messages I get are: Unknown Database Connector Error and Failed to load database information. I attended a training to create Crystal Reports, however, I cannot connect to the datebase to create one. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Please call Blackbaud and they can fix it in few minutes. Apparently, you are missing odbc connection. With new feature ehelp they can access your workstation remotely and fix the problem quickly. If you know how to test your connection using ODBCAD32, you can try to fix yourself. Also, if your server is managed by IT staff, they can fix the problem by setting appropriate firewall settings.

Call their general number: 1-800-468-8996 and give your site ID. You can ask for support. Just curious. Are you new to Blackbaud? The analysts are very nice and take an extra step if necessary and help you. The problem you have in fact is trivial. They will help you and provide guidance.

It may be trival to you, but I called and support says we do not have the maintenance package to correct the problem. We have had Blackbaud for a year, but just had Crystal Reports installed in January.

Forgive me. I thought that you have maintenance support. I am a technical person who helps our foundation accounting staff. There are certain things specific to Blackbaud implementation for example selecting TCP port and allowing through a firewall. But in general BB installation package is good. If you are able to connect to FinancialEdge and use it, then I said it is trivial, but it depends upon your site specific installation.
