Major problem. Membership Statistics by Category Report and Comparative Membership Statistics Report do not match and the knowldedge base solution (BB93723) is NOT help.

I want to know number of ACTIVE membershps (for specified membership categories) as of a certain date - a very simple request I would think.

I tried both these reports (using start and end dates the same) and get different results.

To add to the insult, the Comparison report is just plain wrong! This seems to be especially true if a constituent happens to have two membership records (which is not a good thing) and one is active and one is lapsed on that date. I get the wrongresults. Setting the filter Current Standing to Active does not help because Current Standing refers to the standing as of the date the report is run, not the dates of the report periods.

Can anyone help? I have spent at least 4 hours today on the phone with Blackbaud on this (seriously!) and have spent the rest of the day making test cases, etc.

Please please help!
