    Calculating Fulfillment Rate

Hopefully this is not too dumb of a question. I tried searching previous forum postings but couldn't find an answer. How does one actually calculate fulfillment rate? Is it the number of completed pledges divided by the total number of pledges? Or some other formula? This is probably a pretty basic question, but thanks in advance for any assistance! Cara,
In the past, I have asked the person who wants the data. After going over the options with them, I provided the total pledged dollars, the total paid dollars and we calculated the fulfillment rate off of that. If you do this, make sure that you adjust pledges that are entered incorrectly, and write off pledges that a donor indicates will not be fulfilled. One organization I know adjusted the pledge amounts when a donor indicated they wouldn't fulfill the pledge. This skewed the data because you couldn't get an accurate picture of what the original amount had been. If you have any questions, let me know.
