    % of alumni donors

In generating the percentage of alumni donors who gave to your organization within a time frame, we are wondering how other organizations determine the alumni donor percentage. For example, to determine the number of alumni who gave within the last fiscal year, do you also include constituents who were marked "lost" (no valid address) in the formula?

We are an Independent Day College Prep School K-12. We do not include lost, inactive alumni. We do however, include alumni who attended, but did not graduate. [Email Removed] Chadwick School, California

We do not include those are inactive or that we don't have an address. We only include "solicitable". Katie Kupiecki Manager of Development Information Systems Aquinas College

We are an independent, private K-12 and we exclude lost alumni and alumni who request no solicitations. We do include people who didn't graduate but only if they request that they be considered alums.
