Hi all, I have something exciting that I think more of you may be interested in as well so am posting here and on several of the other forums . Fujitsu has a new scanner that is only about $300 and comes with Adobe Acrobat, can be used to instantly make 2 sided electronic copies of checks and any correspondence that accompanies a gift as fully searchable, sortable, pdf files. That means no more searching through the basement for a copy of some check a donor says they sent in 4 years ago because you can now put a full color digital copy right in RE faster than you can even take a paper copy for the file cabinet. (No, I don't work for Fujitsu; it's just the coolest thing I've ever seen to be able to have the source documents so accessible!) Right now, they have to be added to the Media Tab, but I am thinking that with enough noise from the forums, BB might be motivated to add the capability to link these files directly to the gift record sooner rather than later. If interested, you can associate with suggestion Knowledgebase solution BB86051. It just asks for the ability to associate a pdf file with a gift record, but it doesn't explain what that means to those of us who use it.
