    Country Report

I need to do a country report showing a gift total amount for each country (people giving from each individual country). My Blackbaud consultant says that it can't be done by any standard report. Does anyone have a different opinion or an idea of how to do this without exporting into Excel?

Yes, you can. Run a statistical report. In fields, choose const. address - country. Click over all countries. The report will show #const., #donors, #gifts, total given, average per donor plus some more things. This should be what you are looking for. You cannot create a query to look at individual names, but you can export it. Barbara McIntyre

I forgot to mention the most important thing -- I need the country totals by month (for the year or portion of the year). In the statistical report that you mentioned, I don't get the monthly breakdown. This monthly breakdown seems to be the hard part for RE. C. Bourne IT Support

That would be difficult. You could do a report per month and export the results to excel, then combine the info, but that is too much work. I wonder if an export would work. You could base it on a query of countries. Then gift summary, Greater than or equal to one gift with filter of gift date for the month. You can choose gift summary for each month (I think). Not sure if this will work, but you can try. Barbara McIntyre Philadelphia Biblical University 200 Manor Ave Langhorne PA 19047 215-702-4394 [Email Removed]

    Hello!

If I were trying to get that sort of breakdown, I'd create a constituent query with criteria gifts between certain dates (like the beginning and end of the fiscal year). I would select outputs for the query of: Gift Date, Constituent ID, and Preferred Address Country. Save the query. Then, I'd create a Pivot Report. It would still ultimately require some use of Excel, but it makes Raiser's Edge do all the heavy lifting sorting-wise.

Don't know if that is what you'd want to do - but that's one way to get the results!

    Gift detail and summary report

How do I run the gift detail and summary repand get a summary by Gift constituency?

This should be a separate topic. You can sort by constituent code in summary, but not by gift const. code. You can include the gift const. code as an optional column, but not sort by it. I am new to this and I have not figured out how to start a new topic Actually, I found out how to report by gift constituency code. Check summary on the general tab and then go into the filter tab, click on the constituent code line and choose Include Selected, click on the search button at the end of the row, change the field to say gift instead of constituent. Click ok then you can change the filter back to Include all. It works like a charm.

To create a new topic within Standard Reports, click the 'topics' navigation link in the upper-left corner or click 'Topics' in the breadcrumb at the top of the screen (see the 'Your Location:' links at the top of the screen). To add a topic in a subject other than Standard Reports, click the 'subjects' link. I hope this helps! Thanks!
