    Help Creating a Crystal Report

Hi - Hoping to find someone with expertise in writing a rather simple Crystal Report along with the tribute module. I've written the query and the export, but I think I'm missing an item on my query and I'm not sure how to capture the right information.

I need a report very similar to the tribute "canned" report, however I need to manipulate it into a format that can be sent to honor/memorial acknowledgees (not an internal-looking report) along with our logo on it. It only needs to give the donor's primary addressee and primary address, but needs to give a separate report page for each tribute. Is there anyone with expertise in this area out there and wouldn't mind sharing a couple of tips? I can get the report information, but just can't get it to separate by tribute (all tributes show up on one report). Hope this explains it well enough. Thanks for any help. Lori Del Nero

    Help Creating a Crystal Report

Lori, I did this for my last organization but not in Crystal. I devised a word merge that the first page was our letter to the memorial person's family and the second (or how every many pages were needed) printed the donors' names and addresses. It was also formated to print the first (letter page) on letterhead and the donor listing pages on plain paper. The great part of this was it is all ran in one step through the H/M Acknowledge Letter Function in Mail. It really works well for the 175 plus acknowledgements that are run once a week. If you would like, I can probably find a copy on my home computer. Let me know. Denise Stengl [Email Removed] Denise Stengl School Sisters of St. Francis Milwaukee, WI [Email Removed]

Lori, I used Crystal a lot in my previous job, but not so much with RE so I'm not sure if this will work exactly. I would group by Tribute (Group is under the Insert menu). Once you've grouped you can decide how you want to view the data; for example, you can suppress the group so it doesn't appear and put the data in the details line. When this is all done, go to Format Section. On the left side highlight Group Footer and select the New Page After checkbox on the right. This will create a new page after each grouping. Just remember that there are page headers and report headers in Crystal. Good luck! Amanda Boone Database Manager Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco [Email Removed]
