    How many addressee types?

We are struggling with the issue of addressee types. Different directors want the addresee to appear different ways for different types of mailings. Since we are a college, the question is whether to include class year and when? What if both spouse are alums? My list of addressee types is growing larger everyday. Does anyone have any standards they would care to share? Thanks, Beth Goodhue Alumni Systems Specialist Bridgewater State College

Post Scipt ; YOu don't want to include class years for alumni in the primary addressee becuase you can't keep in alpha order that way. You need a seperate ALumnni Addressee. J. Hummel Chadwick School, California

the class year can appear on the primary addressee. You must sort your query by name and then output the primary addressee for an alpha list

If you keep the class on and export it to another application with non alums also included it can be a real pain. J. Hummel Chadwick School, California
